Service Receptionist – FULL TIME

At Flintshire Caravans we have a very low staff turnover – which means that most of the team have been here for a number of years and you do really sense that when you walk in.  Everyone is friendly and your employer is someone who values their team and the team feel proud to be part of what has become quite a famed employer now in the Deeseide area.

With that comes a great opportunity to join the team.

What kind of person would suit this role? If you are keen to working in a customer facing role and enjoy engaging with the general public (both on good days and bad days!), then this could be the perfect role for you.  Personality is key to being successful in this role - candidates must have a bit of ‘spark’ about their personality and must be able to hold a conversation confidently and with a friendly, engaging tone.  Think about the best service you have ever received in a shop 9or anywhere) and think about what it was that made it memorable to you.  You would quite often be the first face a customer would see when walking into the showroom – so a smile and a warm welcoming personality is a must.

This is a GREAT role for someone who wants to BUILD A CAREER with a company who does truly value long service.  This is the kind of role where you will get out what you’re willing to put in.

Service experience desirable but not essential as full training will be given – but you will need the following essential attributes.

  • Strong communication skills – both in person and over the telephone
  • Strong engagement skills and must enjoy engaging with the general public
  • Good organisational skills and have a strong willingness to learn
  • Hardworking with a strong enthusiasm to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in
  • Enjoying working as part of a team and with others
  • Be available to work every Saturday 9am-1pm
  • Be computer literate – enough to be comfortable/confident in inputting information onto an Excel Spreadsheet e.g.
  • Reliable
  • Honest and Integrity

Hours:  The business is open 7 days a week and actual hours will be discussed with candidates but you must be available to work every Saturday 9am-1pm

Annual Leave Entitlement:  20 days A/L per year, in addition to which you get all Bank Holidays plus Christmas Eve and an extra day at Easter.

Salary:  To be discussed.  You will also benefit from a company Pension Scheme

Role Responsibilities / Development Path:  Your role will be to work on the Service Reception which is based in the main showroom.  You will be answering the telephone, dealing with customer enquiries in addition to welcoming customers into the showroom and dealing with any face-to-face enquiries when required.

Within the Admin part of the role, you will be learning how to book jobs in using a manual diary system.  In time, you will also learn how to process Warranty Claims.

There will be certain times when you may be asked to cover the shop in another team members’ absence – you will therefore undertake training on the shop floor and learn how to process payments and use the till.

This is an ‘all hands on deck’ business where team members make each other brews and will even take it in turn to clean the customer loos – so a willingness to get stuck in to any task is really essential.

Necessary Qualifications:  Must have English and Maths to GCSE or other equivalent level and must be computer literate.

Absolute Essential Personal Attribute:  Must have a friendly and engaging personality – and must enjoy engaging with the general public.  This is a busy environment and sometimes you will be made to deal with an unhappy customer – and so you must have some natural ‘people skills’

Interested?:  Send your CV along with a handwritten covering letter saying why you would be suitable for this position to Mrs S.Norminton, Flintshire Caravan Sales, 76 Station Road, Queensferry, Deeside, Flintshire, CH5 2TE
